Ingredients

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the vegetable oil and granulated sugar, whisking until the sugar begins to dissolve. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating the mixture until smooth and homogeneous. Incorporate the cocoa powder, flour, and salt, stirring until the batter is fully blended. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick that should come out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to maintain the desired fudgy texture. Allow the brownies to cool thoroughly for at least 30 minutes on a wire rack. Once cooled, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to carve out shapes. Decorate with sprinkles if desired. Reserve any offcuts for snacking.
