- ½ tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 400 g whole white mushrooms cleaned and patted dry
- ¼ cup cubed cream cheese
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- ½ cup heavy cream 33% fat content
- 1 tbsp Italian herb seasoning
- ½ tsp fine salt
Melt the butter with olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, then sauté the garlic and mushrooms until they soften and develop color, approximately 5 minutes. Adjust the heat to medium, incorporate the cream cheese, and stir gently until it fully dissolves into the mixture. Lower the heat further to medium-low and blend in the parmesan, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Continue to simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring regularly to ensure even consistency. Conclude by removing from the stove and garnishing with chopped parsley prior to serving.
