Flaky Sausage & Cream Cheese Breakfast Bake

A satisfying and indulgent breakfast dish, this casserole combines savory sausage, creamy cheese, and fluffy eggs atop a crescent roll crust. Ideal for brunch gatherings, potlucks, or a hearty morning meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 eggs
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 8-oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage cooked
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by coating it lightly with cooking spray. Unroll the crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams to form a uniform layer.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked breakfast sausage with the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar. Spread this mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Pour this egg mixture gently over the sausage layer. Sprinkle the top with the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the center of the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
