Crispy Cinnamon-Spiced Bananas

- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg optional
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or alternative sweetener
- 2 slightly overripe bananas
Cut the bananas into slices approximately ⅓ inch thick.
In a small mixing dish, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg if desired, then set aside.
Place a large skillet over medium-low heat and lightly spray with nonstick oil. Arrange the banana slices in the pan.
Distribute half of the spiced sugar mixture over the bananas and allow them to cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Carefully turn the banana slices, then sprinkle with the remaining spice blend. Continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the fruit becomes tender and heated through.
