Chicken Crescent Roll Ups

A comforting and simple dinner option, these Chicken Crescent Roll Ups combine tender shredded chicken and creamy cheese filling wrapped in golden crescent dough. Baked to perfection and served with a rich chicken gravy, this dish is a family favorite that delivers warmth and satisfaction.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Roll Ups:

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 16 oz refrigerated crescent rolls two 8 oz cans
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste

For the Chicken Gravy:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of milk, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and evenly mixed.
  • Unroll and separate crescent dough into individual triangles.
  • Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle, fold the corners inward, and roll tightly towards the tip to enclose the filling.
  • Gently coat each rolled crescent in melted butter, followed by a light dredging in the Italian bread crumbs.
  • Transfer each roll to a baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Repeat the process for the remaining rolls.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and heated through.
  • While the roll ups bake, place the cream of chicken soup and 1/2 cup milk into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the gravy is hot and well blended.
  • Drizzle the warm gravy over the finished roll ups just before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor. Rolls can be prepared ahead and baked later for convenience.
