Ingredients

  • 1 loaf 1 pound frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 to 3 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 – 1½ cups chopped ham

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a large nonstick baking sheet; set it aside.
  • Roll out the thawed bread dough on a floured surface into a 14×10-inch rectangle. Spread Dijon mustard lengthwise down the center, ensuring a 1-inch border remains on each end.
  • Evenly layer the chopped chicken, followed by the ham and shredded Swiss cheese over the mustard.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long edge, jelly-roll style, and press the seams firmly to seal. Position the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, tucking the ends underneath.
  • Cover loosely and allow the stromboli to rise for 15–20 minutes.
  • Transfer to the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the exterior is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Pizza dough may be substituted for bread dough if desired.
An egg wash can be applied before baking for a glossier, golden finish.
Swiss cheese may be swapped for provolone, Parmesan, or mozzarella depending on preference.
Dijon mustard imparts signature flavor but may be replaced or omitted; ranch dressing is a flavorful alternative for filling.
